Cash

Cash used to eat crickets from my hand...but now for some reason he hasn't been. Should I just keep trying every day and maybe eventually he will give in? Or is it possible that he will still become "tame" if I don't hand feed him?

You don't HAVE to hand feed, but so far as I've experienced, it's the quickest way to gain their trust when "taming".

My only thought would be when your offering him food by hand, do you try to offer him food by hand before he gets his daily food or just randomly through out the day after he has been feed. It may be that he's just full. None of ours have ever taken a cricket or worm, I thinks the way you have to hold them, if I try to offer a cricket or worm by hand holding by pinching my fingers together, they will not take it, they just look at me like I'm crazy. But if I offer the feed from my palm, it's game on. And I really only offer the treats by hand, silks, butters, horned, etc.. Seems to work for me, they love there treats.

thank you

ok great thank you very much. last night I noticed he was starting a shed. Do you think that this could have changed his attitutde?

All reptiles get a little grumpy around the time they shed. It's an uncomfortable experience. Think of it like reptilian pms.
