Caught Herbie sleeping again… help!

Soooooooo Herbie has been a bit constipated so his poops have not been flowing like they used to and I haven’t been able to get another good sample to take to the vet. Currently waiting on the next poop but he seems to be pooping once per week. He really scared me today though because I caught him under a plant doing his resting/sleeping thing and I just feel so defeated

Try hornworms... Give him a few each day. They will not only help with getting him to pass a fecal but they will help with hydration.

Just caught Herbie sleeping and he appears to be getting worse. I’m willing to drive somewhere to someone that actually knows chameleons. I’m in GA if anyone has any recommendations for an exotic vet chameleon specialist?

Just sent him an email, he is out of office until July 5th but hopefully when he returns I will hear back from him! Thanks so much, I’m so stressed about this

Hi everyone!! Just want to update! I took Herbie to UGA and met with Dr. Divers and his team. They were absolutely amazing! They did an exam and a full CBC and saw what they believe may be the beginning signs of renal failure. They want to do a CT and ultrasound ASAP but I just don’t have the funds at the moment so we are going back in 6 weeks so I can scramble up some money. Thank you to everyone that helped me along this journey! They aren’t sure why he would be having this condition because his husbandry seems to be great but my instructions right now are to increase humidity best I can at night.

I’m so glad that you got to see Dr Divers and I do hope that he’ll be able to figure out what’s going on with Herbie and that there is affordable treatment.
