Cham ate shed

My girl is shedding but today I noticed her Staring like she was about to eat something. In my head I go, no she won’t eat her own skin. But she was staring and leaning forward. As I tried to beat her to the skin hanging on the branch she ate some, and I tried removing the excess around her mouth. is this okay? And is this normal behavior? I know today is feeding day. Not sure if she was just hungry or it’s a thing they can do, eat their own dead skin. I already went looking for the rest of the skin that was around her enclosure.

I see babies do it all the time. I never see them do it once they stop poofing and start shedding in sections.

Totally fine! Little weird/gross to watch lol, but there's nothing in her own skin that can hurt her, and it's probably easier to digest than chitin.
