I have a yemen cham and i was wondering what people think of this bulb 100 w exo terra sun glo neodymium basking spot lamp bulb.....

100w spot bulb is probably way too hot for a chameleon, unless you have it raised up a bit.

I agree , you could easily use a 60 - 75 W house bulb. They are a lot cheaper as well.

sorry to high jack but i use a 100watt basking lamp but i have it hanging a certain height over the cage does this matter? i still keep my temps right.

How old is your cham? If young he needs it even cooler.

The wattage of the bulb does not really matter as long as the temp is the proper temperature. Raising the bulb up is a perfectly good solution. Although in my opinion energy costs would benefit from lower wattage bulbs.

If the UVB is within the 100W bulb I don't think he can get enough UVB light because you put it so high.

The UVB should be seperate from the basking bulb.
