Cham sick?? Help!!

Hi,

My Cham is about 6 months. He has stopped eating, not moving around much, barely drinking. He has a bump under his skin near the end of his back(spine) near where his tail starts. Recently he has started leaking a yellowy slimy substance out of his butt. It also appears his butt may be swollen and he hasn't been pooping or anything.... Help! I can't get to a vet until next week. Is there any meds I can give ? Could it be constipation? Are there any laxatives? I've already tried putting together for in warm bath. A little of the yellow stuff came out.

He looks very sick. I don't know of any first aid that will help at this point. You can try to keep him warm and hydrated but I doubt it will help.
The vet ASAP is your best option.

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles! That back bump is really strange looking. It may just be because the image resolution is low, but I'm not sure I've seen something quite like it before. His eyes are very sunken, too, which is concerning. Like Jacksjill pointed out, you will need a vet one way or another. Unfortunately, I don't know of any "quick fixes" for his issues, so just be sure to get in as soon as you can.

Also, did you say that you bathed your chameleon? Just for future reference, you should never bathe your chameleon. And especially not with warm water. Chameleons are cold blooded, so what is warm to us can be dangerously hot to them.

I agree with the above can you post a clear photo of the back feet I don't personally see a spur in the photos above but I could be wrong.

In the mean time, fill out the help form and post it here. It will help us determine if an issue with your husbandry is the cause and help you correct it.
