Hi

I have to take my baby cham to the vet tomorrow..

WHat is the best way to transport her? She is around 5 - 6 iches long (inc tail)

When i picked her up from the shop she was in a cricket tub (the plastic ones) with tissue paper to stop her sliding.

It is a half hour car journey.

Thanks

thats not to bad, a small box/ shoe box, with a moist, not soaked papertowl in the bottom.

try to limit mobility, so she can't roll around to much in the box.

it is still early here in the US, most of us are at work, or still asleep. *8am for me*.

Put her in a shoebox or a similar sized cardboard box. Do you have a small branch you could put in there for her to hold on to? Or a piece of dowelling that you could poke through from one side of the box to the other, fairly low down though. Put an old towel in the bottom so she has something to grip onto and also to cushion her landing if she was to fall. She will probably go to sleep in the dark anyway. Put some airholes in the box too.

lilly, i wouldn't worry about using a stick. say your driving, and break suddenly, she could be flung off the stick, a soft padded botom with papertowels would most likely be best.

I had to transport my guys, I did it in an opaque storage tub with a towel and a stick, and within 5 minutes both of them were sleeping...i felt bad waking them up when we got to our destination!
