Chamaeleo (Trioceros) cristatus

They are available. They are almost always wild caught and are usually infested with parasites. The importers seem to never hydrate them, so when you get them thay are either dying or on the downhill fast. They are very skinny chameleons to begin with so improper care at first is their demise. I have had the worst luck with these guys especially the females. I hardly ever see a good specimen. I have two males right now.

Thanks for the quick response. That's amazing you have experience with them.

Any pics? They fascinate me.

Any importers that I may have a better chance with getting a healthy one? CBB are out of the question?

Brad Ramsey is incubating some eggs right now, I believe. Keep an eye out for anyone selling quads; the cristatus usually come in with them.

LOL!!! Nice avatar Kent:D

They were available around spring time. I got 2 pairs and 1 pair was old and just didnt do well. The younger pair did well. I kept them for 3 or so months and then offed them on Haley! JK:p She was looking for a healthier pair so I decided to let them go to her. They are quite interesting. I noticed the young female vibrating before she would snatch her food like I have heard the deremensis do. Never saw the male do it though. I suggest asking for younger specimen when dealing with WCs. They have seemed to do the best for me.

Nick Mole from first choice reptiles usually get some in. He also does a good job at rehydrating them and getting through the first stages of acclimation. I will try to post some pics soon. I dropped my digital camera that I just bought (IDIOT) so I have to go buy a new one soon.

Thanks. Sorry about the camera. I hate when that happens. I think its some weird law the more careful you are with something new the greater the chance it slips through your hand.

my eggs are cooking for 3,5 Months now. two eggs has fallen in. 13 are looking pretty good. a friend of me has hatched 9 babies, two died in the first week. it seems to be very difficult to rise them up. my pair is also WC and i doing very very well. most important is to give them lot of water (dripper is needful) and do not give so much minerals and so on.
brad have you got any experience how long the eggs will lay? i think about 9 months.

i m going to post my absolute most beautyfull picture of my male.
