Chameleo Estevez has escaped

I saw that in one of Ryan Jaroseks posts on the classifieds he was looking for something in so cal, so he must be pretty close to you, and he has tons of chams I bet you could borrow.

Thank you for all your suggestions and well wishes! RyanJ was kind enough to let us borrow one of his females to hopefully lure Chameleo back. I am on my way to pick her up right now!

Wish us luck.

You do not know how much, I want him to come back, I wish you the best of luck, I am sure a female from Ryan, will luer him in for sure. Lol.

Oh yea and, your on your way to get a chameleon, Its 12 at night here, Im going to bed :p
I hope you find him by the time I wake up :) Ill be sure to check this thread right when I wake up.

Good luck, Chris. I would've let you borrow mine if only I have a female panther.
Keep us updated.

Night 2 has not been successful. We have been searching every 30 minutes or so since he has been missing. I swear we are spending more time trying to find him than some people do with their own dogs.

Anyways, Ryan J let us borrow a lady. She is really cute. Ironically she is actually from the same clutch as Chameleo.

I am setting her out in a few strategic locations tomorrow. We shall see what happens.

Thanks again for the kind words everyone. Extra big thanks to the Jarosek's for letting us borrow the lady. Seeing the zoo was also a great morale booster, and definitely cheered us up alot. We appreciate it.

The outpour of PM's and calls have been amazing as well. You guys are all amazing.

Best of luck! I hope he pops up soon!

Both times my George has a got out we've found him hiding behind a curtain at the top of the rail, have a look there if its a possibility.

Hang in there, he will show up, the big question is when?? I am betting the girl will get him out. Good luck.

That girl is one sexy thing. Hopefully he will agree. Good luck Chris, I have high hopes that he will return.

Thanks a bunch Ryan. She is super cute, we already like her a bunch. She acclimated to her new cage really fast. I threw a pothos in there and ziptied a branch to the top of the pothos hangar hook. Drank like a champ this morning, ate a few silks, and has been basking all morning out in the open.

I propped her up pretty high, and she has been hanging out in the open parts the entire time, giving me quite a hand.

No success yet, but we shall try tomorrow. If I can't find him by then I am pretty sure he went into the massive trees all down my street.

To give you an idea of what I am up against:

You think that is bad, you should see the neighbors yard. That is where I have her setup as bait. The house next to his is even worse sadly. Even more large overgrown trees and bushes.

Dang that sucks. If you can get your hands on a thermal camera I would suggest using that at night to peek through the branches of the trees some camera can pick up heat from 100 feet away. I know this cause we found my cousins iguana this way. A few places rent them also.

I'm sure you can find someone local or a shop that rents them around you.
Good luck!

I am just heading off to bed now (12.40 am here)....wanted to wish you guys luck, hopefully when i log on in the morning you will have some good news for us...sending you a prayer from the UK...fingers crossed XX

That is a definite possibility. I remember talking about using one to find a different chameleon that was missing. Talk to you local fire department. There's a possibility they will come out and do a scan of the area for you. If you can get your hands on one stand about 50 feet away from the female and look at her with it. That way you see what the heat signature looks like and you would have a better idea what you're seeing in the camera as you're scanning. Best of luck finding him. I really hope everything works out. Fingers are crossed.

it just dawned on me when sancho said the ir thingy i have an ir night scope your welcome to uselong as you need it doesnt show heat signature but ya can see in the dark with it may be able to spot him let me know

Just a word of encouragement. Fractal got lost for 8 days. I had given up on that eighth day and then I found him. You will too. :D
He's closer than you think.
