Chameleon Cage amount of fog?

My chameleon has MBD so i placed him in a small plastic cage, my dad covered the whole box shoved a fogger tube inside, when i checked the whole cage was 100% full of fog. is this ok for the chameleon or will this cause even more problems

You can turn the fogger on very low so it provides humidity (no fog coming out of the fogger) then you have good humidityand you’re not stressing your chameleon out

Have you thought of putting live plants in because it’s help humility be more regulated but that being said remove all soil to bare root no soil at all and clean the leaves throughly. Report the plant with organic soil or pet store soil. The reason behind this is typically they fertilize and use pesticides. If you don’t want to do that LLL reptile sells ficus trees for a good price that are already ready to be put in the enclosure. I personally highly recommend live plants not to say fake ones are bad. Just a thought....

Ok thank you

Having the cage full of fog isn't too much of a problem, other than the risk of a respiratory infection. But just to clarify things, why did you put your Cham in a different cage? I understand that you said that it had mbd, but as far as I'm aware, metabolic bone disease has nothing to do with humidity, but rather vitamin d, which can be replicated in UVB lights and calcium suppliments. I was just wondering.

His original cage is broken im now ordering a new one, so he has to share with a female, female sees he is weak so bullies him

He has MBD, for some reason this looks much more serious than it sounds, his eyes barely open, he never opens his mouth, i have to forcefeed him water, medicine, and 2-3 crickets a day. I have to forcefeed him by pinching his chin and squeezing the stuff inside his mouth. His chin is now bruised and skin is starting to fall down, i need to find a safe way to feed him water and crickets. I also want to ask that if i force him crickets he doesnt swallow. it takes for 1-2 hours

Have you taken it to the vet I don’t recall if you did or didn’t...I hate to say this but you might have to put it down...depending on severity of the conditions force feeding is definitely not the way to go but if you have to you do what is necessary. If you can get your chameleon to keep its eyes open would be a good start...warm water mist for that. MBD is no joke with chameleons they tend to die from the stress of it but really hope that doesn’t happen. Sounds to me like it’s condition is pretty serious! Have you thought about putting your chameleon in the natural sunlight for a couple of days that might help they get more D3 from the natural sunlight rather than a light. But that depends on what the temperature is outside with that being said.

I'm done with this thread and any others JOSHWAH posts. One minute he has two veiled chameleons in the same cage..the next he has a femlae veiled then he has a male veiled then suddenly he has a male panther and he's now put it in with his female...is that the female veiled? One minute the cage has plants (real and artificial) the next minute he says he has no plants (not even the artificial ones?)...he starts multiple posts on the same chameleon with the same issue even though he's been told not to. He's been told and shown that the cage needs plants...if you ask questions you hard!y ever get an answer. If you're for real Josh then you need to listen and learn and read more on your own. If not ...then you're trolling.

Live plants depend on your environment. If you live somewhere dry, live plants will help with the humidity. See what works for you.

Every time u give me a suggestion i listen and follow it, i make multiple posts because i am stressed out and worried. My veiled chameleons died a year ago and their cages both have live plants. Now for my panther everything is artificial.i do a lot of research but nothing is working.
