Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, Male, and he is a baby that is all I know (4 inches) I have had him for about 2 weeks
Handling - Once every two days
Feeding - I am feeding him meal worms and crickets. 4 crickets and 3 meal worms in feeding bowl. Everyday. Feeding my feeders Fluker's calcium feeder food.
Watering - Dripper and misting by bottle. Misted twice a day, dripper all day. I see him drink from the dripper.
Fecal Description - Brown and white (normal) and he has not been tested for parasites
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Reptibreeze medium screen enclosure, 18x18x30 inches
Lighting - Zoomed combo deep dome tropical kit, 5.0 Uvb and a 60 watt blue daylight bulb
Temperature - My room is the hottest in the house so the night time temperature ranges from 65 and above. His basking spot is 85 degrees and his lower portion of the cage is 70 to 77 degrees
Humidity - Spray down the enclosure twice a day with a dripper going all day. Keeping the humidity around 60-70-80 range.
Plants- Madagascar bamboo and an air plant
Placement - Is near an air vent but the vent is near my window so it is covered by curtains not allowing it to blow his direction. The top of the cage is about 5' above the floor. Not a high traffic area unless my sister comes in my room.
Location - Greenville, South Carolina, US
Current Problem - My chameleon is doing great and acting normal. But he has two portions of his body that are always a different color than the rest. I don't believe they are burns and they aren't bothering him. But I'm just concerned, the spots are on his spine and his side...always being a duller color compared to the rest. Any explanations?
