Chameleon Swinging Head Violently

This sounds more like possible poisoning to me. They either inhaled or ingested a toxin, which can come from anything from room air fresheners to moldy cricket food being consumed by the crix.

I HAVE, THEY ARE USELESS AND SAID HE WAS HEALTHY

I can tell you are frustrated and upset. I can't even imagine how it would feel to lose my chameleon. I also know you have been posting a lot trying to get answers. Everyone on this forum would LOVE to give you answers and help you if they could. It is very difficult to help you without pictures and details... I've only seen one picture in this thread... and although you filled out the Help Form, your answers didn't give much to go on. You probably did your best to answer the questions - but please understand that it wasn't a lot to go on. I haven't looked at your other posts to put it all together, but let me comment on the Help Form questions in this post. Maybe you could take more pictures, give more details, give us more specific feedback from the vet (other than they tell you your cham is healthy and they are useless). With more details, possibly you could get the help you need.

Handling - you have only had this cham for a couple weeks. You don't need to handle them every day. Let him settle in and get comfortable.
Feeding - just "throwing in" an unspecified amount of crickets and not knowing what is eaten is very vague. Not knowing the size of the crickets or if they are the appropriate size for your juvenile, is very vague.
Supplements - not knowing if your cham is getting the proper supplements or blowing it off saying he doesn't eat them and the dust just comes off is not good enough on your part. What exact supplements are your using and what is your schedule??
Watering - you said you mist the enclosure, but didn't give an amount or duration and you "sometimes" use a syringe is vague and not good enough on your part.
Fecal Description - do you have a picture of the poop? you should because you must clean it up, right? take a picture of it.
Lighting - you don't know what bulbs you are using, and that is not good enough on your part. Find out what type UVB bulb you are using and when you bought it.
Temp - do you have a thermometer? 24-30c is about 75-86f - for a juvenile, the ambient temp should be 72-80F (22-26C), basking 85F (29C)

Pictures needed, please post them on this thread:
  • picture of entire cage
  • picture of poop
  • picture of chameleon - a few taken during the day
  • picture of basking area - how far from the lights is this area

Give us as much information with and much DETAIL as you can - otherwise there is no way anyone can be of help to you or your cham.

Hi! Sorry for your loss, :( i would say its a respiratory thing since both of them were doing it, (i never had ishues like that), but i read alot of the time a good way to tell if your cham is sick with respitory problems, is if they whistle when they breathe. Though this certainly isnt a sure-shot method.
I also would also like to note my chameleon would occasionally do this if he ate a bug or something and had to spit it out, but i never saw any bubbles and it would only last a moment. Just long enough for him to get the bug out of his mouth.
And then being the sassy jerk (i still adored him) he was, hed sit upright like that with a foot up, the way he always did when he got offended. Then after a moment or so hed either drink somewater and go back to eating, or hed just continue to eat. So if one were just doing it id think ot might be choking. Bubbles mean there was some sort of liquid happening (possibly just spit) but id say since it happened to two, it was a respiratory thing.
Also (sorry if someone already said this) but apparently a good way to select a good sized food for you cham is anything smaller than the flat part of their face between their eyes.
I understand your struggle with vets, so i wont say much about that, and i know this kind of a no brainer but one thing you could do is really make sure you point out what youre worried about to the vet, not just here make sure my cham is healthy lol :p (not saying thats what you did).

But as i said, sorry for your loss. Good luck if you decide to try again.
