Still makes no sense as to why it would glue the skin there. It’s water. It moisturizes skin and helps rejuvenate it.
Again, if anything, it’s done nothing but help my chameleon.
And, I’m gonna believe my vets advice when she’s literally saved my chameleons life and is a chameleon specialist.
Now, too much water, yeah. That’s a thing. That can cause issues and you should watch that. But a slight increase has done nothing but help ANY CHAMELEON i have seen, let alone my own.

It doesn’t glue the skins together. It loosens the shedding skin up and this enables it to be shed off the body easier. Try this, pick at your skin on your feet so that it is hanging of a bit. Then, get in the warm shower and peel it off, but not entirely, leave some on. And get out and dried off. Then try to peel it off. It will hurt and be hard to peel off.

you do what you want.. this is your chameleon.. but my advice is to not giving a shower its stressfull, not helpfull and can be dangerous (hot,cold water, temperature variation etc..). my advices is based on chameleon expert research so as you can't give me good explanation.. based on something i still stuck on my opinion

And my chameleon has never been happier than when he gets a shower when he’s shedding. He can be as stressed as possible from a shed and the moment he gets a shower, he turns to his calm resting green and loves it.

thats good, i will stuck to my chameleon specialist, vet, expert, book and veterinary thesis and my personal experience from years and years of chameleon husbandry of several speacies and breeding experience.. like i said your chameleons are not my chameleons.. the important part is : my chameleon doing good and your chameleon probably doing good too!

Scales and skin don't react the same way to water and, no, water does not "rejuvenate" the skin (even in humans). A basic understanding of biology will tell you that water actually strips skin of important oils.

Mawtyplant just gave you a quote from PETR NECAS. Now, I'm guessing you don't know who that is, seeing how rudely you treated her for her very helpful response. Petr Necas is one of THE foremost chameleon experts in the world. He has spent years living in/traveling through countries where chameleons are native species, has written books, and is one of the most respected experts in the field. You two are regurgitating information you've heard from other random people, not a literal expert. Showering is not a good solution. Chameleons' shed needs to dry and flake off. Water dampens it and makes this process difficult.

Lmao Ight. I was never rude. I just said that I would listen to my own personal CHAMELEON EXPERT VET, all of my personal research where I have not seen one other person say that, and my own personal experiences. I flat out said I wasn’t stepping on her toes.
I’m entitled to do what I want with my own chameleon based off of other expert advice.

Most of your links don't even have authors. One of them is a Wiki. You would benefit from learning how to find primary information from verifiable sources. All I'm saying is that you two new members are brigading against someone giving you informed advice straight from the mouth of the top chameleon expert in the world. But yeah, your vet probably knows more than someone who's devoted his entire life to chameleons, who has spent years in Yemen studying veileds. Plus, you're just talking down to a user with vastly more experience than you, and she doesn't deserve that. We hold our members to a higher standard of conduct than that.
