Chameleons: Mythbusted!

Ok folks and friends. Time for a little fun on the forums. Now I know in a whole, the entire reptile and amphibian group receives an enormous amount of utterly ignorant clueless unsubstantiated, utterly and entirely false claims about these animals. But this is a Chameleon forum, so lets stick to those. Post a Myth that you have heard about chameleons, in the form of a statement.

I'll go first with one of the most famous.
