ChamEO Clinic begins April 3, 2010

How many people attended this?

I think it was just under 20. It went very well. We had a lot of fun. I'm exhausted from all the worry beforehand and then all the excitement of the actual workshop.

We should have some video clips to share soon. I guess I'd better start planning the next one. ;)

Congratulations Elisa, I knew this would be a great hit with people. I think it is wonderful of you to offer it.

Elisa:

Is SBCK going to have another booth in San Diego (Super Show)? Or maybe this is a question for Dave? That would be another option for presentations during that weekend. While I didn't get time away from my booth to go check out Dave's presentations, I thought he had a VERY informative set up and was very well prepared to answer people's questions. Personally, I think it would be good for you guys to do it again in San Diego.

But if you decide to do it, don't sign Kevin up to help. He was too busy talking and running around last time..... :D

Way to hijack my ChamEO thread. LOL. Yes I think Dave would be the one to ask. I missed that show because I was in Arizona.

Howdy Julie,

The booth that we had at the Pomona show was great! San Diego would be fun to do too. There may not be any funding for SBCK to be at that one though :(. SBCK purposely doesn't collect any dues etc. so when someone or a couple of members, wants to do something it gets done with their own time, cash and material donations . This money philosophy has kept us out of money troubles but it does limit the scope of our abilities, for better or for worse.

Howdy,

Elisa has done a great job building ChamEO into a full-on, official non-profit organization that has been able to raise corporate funding for these workshops. The fact that the 3 hour session went for 6 hours shows how useful and important it is to have these workshops :). Thank you, Elisa, for your tireless dedication to the chameleon community :D

lol 6 hrs? i left early? dave tks for showin me how to do the fecal test did you ever end up doin the other test on it? Ida stayed longer if ida known more were. loved the video cant wait to see more video and the pics kevin took.

We got caught up in conversation with Dr. Molnar for quite a while. Then after he left a handful of us kept thinking of more things to talk about. Haha!

How do you get a monkey... where?

lol

Maybe we can do a ChamEO booth.... with support from local SBCK volunteers?

Still working on loading my pics. Elisa, does Dayna have a time frame for when her vids will be ready? I sorta dread seeing myself on camera...

I think if we didn't have to eat or sleep we could have talked for much longer. :D

ChamEO received $70 in donations during the workshop. Additionally, Steve Sims donated some bottles of his famous Cricket Crack gutload, Dave Weldon donated two large bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide, a voltage meter and Fecalyzers. Dayna Davis donated her services to record the entire workshop which will be a valuable tool to gain more support by the industry's corporations. They will be able to see just how the money is put to good use.

i think the dr had a good time ? i dont really wanna see myself on video either but i wanna see the pics ya took of fred.. and the other pics.

Uhhhh, be quiet Kevin. LOL. Some things are not meant for the Internet. Hahaha!

Don't worry Kevin you were great! You will see it before anyone else does. I don't want you to dread it. I really appreciate your contributions.

Someday I will plan for a booth but for now there is a lot of work involved in planning workshops.

"Dayna" is looking at the footage now... and seeing what kind of "spots" I can pull together... The Bonsai Tree segment is going to be great! Dave's "poop shop" was cool, but nobody had any parasites to see... (a good thing, right?) The lighting was quite low for the Vet Checkups, but we'll see what we can do about it. I'll try to get something out this week...

It was a great workshop, and very informative. Thanks Elisa for the great work you are doing!!! We had a great time! Those of you in So Cal who haven't been to ChamEO should really try to make the next one! Elisa has done an awesome job.

FYI - Unless I am out of town at trial, I will do this everytime you have a workshop... My contribution to our Cham-world.

Sorry, Elisa. Didn't mean to hijack....just thought that the Super Show might be a great place for another workshop, etc. (as someone else had suggested) since Dave and the SBCK booth seemed to have such good success. :) What - there isn't an endless supply of green$$ and time like the rest of us have?? (I of course say that in jest....:D)
