Chams and dogs?

Ive been really thinking about getting a panther cham, but we have 3 dogs. anyone have issues with them coexisting?
like when u handle ur cham do they freak out if a dog comes and sniffs them?

I have chams and a dog, and they feel insecure when she just walks by if I'm holding them. I wouldn't let your dogs get close enough to sniff them but it's fine to have both pets. My chams never do anything to attract the attention of my dog anyway, they move too slowly, so they'd be safe in their cages up on a table or cabinet, like they usually are.

i have both and the 2 chams i have let hang with my dog are both still here, my dog has sniffed them and didnt seem to react at all, and both chams have tried multiple times to crawl onto the dog when she passes by their tree.
i wouldnt reccomend it with out ALOT of supervision, and as a rule my cages are higher than my dogs head when walking so they can feel safe
here is a pic of camo ( veiled cham ) hanging with camber ( rotty ) they spend hours like this starring out the window.

I have two cats and a high up exoterra enclosure. Really the chameleon doesn't interest them that much way too slow moving. However the crickets  they go nuts for those. The one cat will even sniff him and Wash will try to climb up on him and the cat backs away.

my chameleon gapes at my daughter's boyfreinds dog when he is over. He does not like him at all. I think it just depends on the chameleon. Look at Hoj's Veild sitting there in the window with his dog!!

i have three dogs and a bizzillion chameleons. while the chameleons are in cages my dogs pay no attention to them or the cages. If i let a chameleon out........it is a different story. Lotus survived a pretty bad incident leaving him a broken leg and a gaping hole straight through his body from one side to the other..

This is not to scare you but to be cautious. some dogs play well with others. mine dont :/

THAT is such a cute picture!!!! I like it!

The dog and cham picture is awesome.

My Husky doesn't like the chams. I found out recently when I tried to house my chams outside. He started barking at them. It depends on the dog and the cham.

Love the picture!!!! All creatures Great and Small!!! :)

My advice would be the same with any animals... supervision and training is always important.

chams and dogs

I have a 6 yr old rottie and she has no interest whatsoever in my cham. I even left the enclosure door open one day and came home and the cham was taking a stroll across the floor and my rottie didn't even bother to get up. I think because they move so slow. While I realise I was pretty lucky that nothing happened and am a bit more careful in checking everything before I leave, I don't think you will have any problems.

very cool Jann, do you find that the dogs seem to get no scent from the chams,

I think that Red must smell something. He really like to smell them after they've been to the vets. Since they eat bugs and worms I believe he feels they are no threat to him and his food and his bones. :)

Hoj that has to be one of the cutest pictures, i love it

thx, they spend hours like that, especially in the winter as they dont get to outside together
once a cat jumped up in the window and was eyeballing Camo and the rotty lost it on the cat and scared in half to death. im sure Camo was glad he had a big sister ;)

and at Jann, my rotty sniffed Camo once and never seemed interested again. if Camo is headed accross the floor she just watches unless he gets too close then she moves accross the room LoL
