Just out of curiosity, how hard is the bite of a Panther Chameleon? Do they bite and hold on or release. I see people wearing gloves for full grown Chameleons and Ousalets.

Lol, I guess you have to just get bit to find outHaha. Sorry. some people wear glvoes because their chams bite hard.
they can make you need stitches.
Guess it depends how manly you are.
I am no stranger to pain with many broken bones and a joint replacement in my younger days. I am not looking to do a "JACK ASS" rerun and wind up with a cut that needs stitches. HA! I treat him like a dog by keeping it flat so he has nothing to bite. I didn't realize they could bite that hard. He is only 9 months old and I wouldn't think he could inflict that much damage. I have never seen a full grown one in person. I guess they have a pretty large bite. Thanks for the reply. If I decide to make a video I will post it.
yup a little female veiled...Oh my god. THAT looks nasty! That little female veiled did THAT???

Boy, that old thread was an eye opener!
I too thought 'its just a little cammie...they can't hurt much, right?' Plus Shayna did get me once when I was medicating her sore arm and I laughed at her for it. I've been bitten by a macaw and know what a bite can do.
I think that thread is a reminder that a bite from any animal no matter how small, can be quite consequential!
