Clea's new free range

Hey everyone. Here is something i did for Clea in the morning. She was on it for a good 4-5 hours and then went back into her cage which i had to redo for her because she was getting pissed and didnt like the the old way. Sheesh this chameleon really control you:p

I basically took 2 flukers vines and connected them to each other and just hing it across my room with the tree in the middle which she didn't even go on:rolleyes:

1st picture-Beginning
2nd picture-Middle(over the tree)
3rd picture-The end
4th picture-Of course she then goes and looks out the window

Very nice! Looks great. Just telling a funny story, I put the Fluker's vine in my cham's cage and he was scared to DEATH of it. Did not move for two hours... So I had to take it out :(

Looks fun! I don't think I could ever do that though. I'd be a nervous wreck about Shooter some how falling and getting hurt. Not to mention the poop all over the place.

I free range and both my chams poop in the same spot and at just about the same time. I just put down a new newspaper after each poop. It's really not very messy.......much cleaner than the birds we use to have. :p

Thank guys. To be honest Clea only poops in her cage. She never popped out of her cage on the free range
I guess you can call that potty trained:)

So do you leave the enclosure open and let Clea come out as she sees fit? And does she go back in on her own for basking/uvb/sleep? These are things i have been wondering cause i have a bit of room to do some free range.

Thanks

Clea comes out of her cage whenever it is open. She abortively loves to free range and go outside. But today i had one part of the vines that were connected, stuck into the cage as you can see in picture 1. She spent most of the time figuring how this works and then went on a stroll and looked really happy. Then she spent another hour or so looking out the window. It was rainy here and i couldn't take her out, No sunshine what so ever.

Then i put her back in her cage, she roams around, and goes back to basking.

Thank you. I actually thought about this idea from you Heather. When you told me you bought all that vine for a free range around the room:)

I actually put the 2 vines back in her enclosure after i had to put her back in but am going to buy more vines as soon as i have more money. I am also saving for the babies;)

Some more pics

Here are some pics of Clea, her cage, and my reptile picture wall:)

I think its time to do some tree shopping :). Though i don't see Angus leaving his enclosure these days, he has seemed super content now that the hibiscus is full and bushy and its hard to see him. But its worth a try.

You are doing a great job, thanks for sharing this and getting the ideas rolling.
