So I live in florida and usually, my house doesn't drop below 78 at night. Because its always warm here, my heater was not on, but last night, the outside temp dropped to around 60. And I think my chams ambient temps might have gone below 70. He's just a little 3 month old panther. Anyway, this morning I found him in the same spot he slept at last night which happened to be right under the AquaZamp nozzle which had already come on. So he was cold and wet. He seemed aware of me and his surrounding and was looking aroound and stuff. So, i was worried about him so i touched his tail, which would normally send him running up the branch, but he just sat there, turned around slightly and then looked at me. So I gently got him onto my hand and put him under his incandescent dome, when I did this, he was still a lot more sluggish than usual. After about 10 minutes of basking, he is back to his normal, spunky, self and patrolling the system of vines in the upper part of his cage. Btw, this morning my ambient temp is around 74 whereas it usually is between 78 and 80. So, I'm just wondering is this normal behavior for you guys? Because I know the warm temps in my house usually doesn't give him much of a night drop, as compared to many other keepers. And do you guys think i should get him a ceramic heater for nighttime?
