Cold Night . . . Slow Morning

So I live in florida and usually, my house doesn't drop below 78 at night. Because its always warm here, my heater was not on, but last night, the outside temp dropped to around 60. And I think my chams ambient temps might have gone below 70. He's just a little 3 month old panther. Anyway, this morning I found him in the same spot he slept at last night which happened to be right under the AquaZamp nozzle which had already come on. So he was cold and wet. He seemed aware of me and his surrounding and was looking aroound and stuff. So, i was worried about him so i touched his tail, which would normally send him running up the branch, but he just sat there, turned around slightly and then looked at me. So I gently got him onto my hand and put him under his incandescent dome, when I did this, he was still a lot more sluggish than usual. After about 10 minutes of basking, he is back to his normal, spunky, self and patrolling the system of vines in the upper part of his cage. Btw, this morning my ambient temp is around 74 whereas it usually is between 78 and 80. So, I'm just wondering is this normal behavior for you guys? Because I know the warm temps in my house usually doesn't give him much of a night drop, as compared to many other keepers. And do you guys think i should get him a ceramic heater for nighttime?

As long as he can warm up in the morning he will be just fine. 70 is not at all too low - my guys get down to 60 almost every night in the winter. They will be slower until they bask to warm up, but as long as they can go warm up under the basking light they'll be just fine. You might not want the mister to come on before the lights do so he has a chance to warm up first. I would not get a night warmth source.

He had been in the same spot for 2 hours after the lights came on and didn't go to bask. And then, the mister came on only an hour after the lights come on. He usually runs from that though. Which is kind of what has me concerned, the fact that he wouldn't move.

I've been keeping my basking temp around 90 also though. He seems to thermo regulate more actively since I have done that too.
