My chameleons head the very top is peeling away. Is this normal?

Flamazine or silver sulphadiazine.

You can test to see if he basking light is too hot and will likely burn him by putting your hand inside the cage as close to the bulb as possible...palm down. If you want to move it, it's too hot.

Get the cream mentioned above by taking him to a vet.... Thermal burns are dangerous on the casque... It can develop an infection in the casque and they can have a huge chunk fall off. He will lose that entire ridge that is coming off now.
