Your cage could use more cover for sure.
The playsand should be moist enough to hold a tunnel and she should be able to get to the bin when it's in her cage.

Please post some clear recent photos of her from the side.
 
You want her enclosure so thick with plants it's hard to find her . Also real plants for your baby would be best . Veiled chameleons are notorious for eating plants !!. At some point she will start trying to eat her fake plants it can cause impaction . Here's a list of plants .
