Copyright - I found my photo on somebody elses website !?!?

Ugh.. while looking at pictures of chameleons on google I found one of my photos posted on someone else website.

the website is http://www.floridaherps.com/categories/Lizards/Chameleons/

and the picture is the one under "panther chameleon" It is a picture of Wembley and actually the same photo has been in my chamforums gallery (on page 2) for quite sometime.

I never watermark my photos but it looks like maybe I should start

Send the website an email. Can they really be using your photo like that??? It's like false advertisement.

That sucks. They should remove it if you contact them as the owner of that photo. They may ignore you but you should definitely tell them they do not have your permission to use it! If you do that and they ignore you then you have grounds for legal action if you're interested.

I know Chris Anderson has run into this issue before and posted about it on the forums. If you look at his threads you will find it. He gives a detailed explanation about the steps to take to get someone to remove pics. I wouldnt stand for man! We all work too hard for someone else to steal your property like that.

I think I've seen that one for the veiled cham on here too! I'm sure all those are stolen I cant beleive they are trying to sell something they dont have! makes me really happy that I have found this forum and can trust everyone on here!!
