cough/sneeze?

I hear my guy make a noise which I can only relate to exhaling quick through his nose. I have read some posts which say this is a beginning symptom of a URI.

Right now his temps are around 85 for basking and the bottom of the cage is 70. What should I be doing?

I never see him with his mouth open trying to get air and there is no fluid running from his mouth. I have no idea if his saliva is stringy as he never really gets angry or startled

Is it when he is a little agitated or is he doing it all the time for no reason? Mine will make this little noise like "Pffff" through his nose when he is telling me he doesnt like something. I was trying to weigh him the other day and he did it then. So if that is the case then it is nothing to worry about.

im not sure, ive heard it when I was moving him from his free range to his cage, and when I went to the front of the cage when he was near it, and today when I went up to the cage and he was basking

Doesn't sound like it's serious, but keep an eye on him regardless. Mine makes the same 'sneeze' noise when I go to pick him up. It's almost like he's getting ready to hiss~

haha, I'm just very worried about everything as he's my first and I've only had him a little longer than a month.

yes, its probably him just giving you a little indication that he doesnt like something. I know it is easy to worry, I do the same thing!!!

i remember when you told me that same thing in one of my old threads about my chameleon sneezing or someting!:D

I'd keep an eye on him just to be sure, however, I have a young Kinyongia multituberculata (often called Fischer's or West Usumbara Two Horned, etc, etc.) who has tried to scare me by puffing up, shaking and Pffff-ing.
When I first saw him do it, I thought he was having a medical problem.
Once I realized he was being "scary", I had a good laugh, because he's so small.

Yeah I thought the same thing a few weeks ago. I even dosed a few hornworms with some Rept-Aid to make sure I was staving off anything.

He still makes the same noise towards me, I just notice he does it when hes not too thrilled. Like if I put my hand near him he will sometimes puff at it when he is turning around to get away from my hand.
