Cricket Colony Questions

Has anyone here ever started a successful cricket colony? I'm honestly curious how you know that it's time to move the laying bins to a new container. We set up the colony last Thursday, and I feel like we did a proper job. We have a100 adult crickets, and put in three small laying bins. I mainly just want to know when we should look to move the laying bins. I have no idea if they're even using them to be honest.

I recently started a colony as well. Depending on what you put in the laying bin you can sometimes see the eggs in there, they look a little like tiny grains of rice. I've heard to switch out the boxes every week or two.
