hi guys...
I am kinda new here.. and i am also a new owner of baby veiled chameleon.
I am used to buy crickets at Petco..
but i heard many scary stories about how petco kept their crickets in unsanitary place.

So, where should i buy them at?
1000 crickets is a bit  because i lived with a landlord that is freakish
about seeing insects (she said that she'll allow me to take care of chameleon.. but i just need to make sure that she won't see insects hopping around inside of the house.. so 1000 crickets are a bit too much to handle for me :p..

I live around east Los Angeles BTW

thanks guys

Any bait shops around? Or petsmart isn't so bad. They catch them fresh out of an enclosure for you.

hmm the closest one is amazon store.. i'll check it out..
never try petsmart.. will try that too

i think i can handle 100 crickets... anybody know where i can get it cheaper than petco?

The problem with ordering less than 1000 is that the shipping makes the cost per cricket much higher.
1000 is only 10 x 100 and you'll have great success keeping them alive if you order smaller (1/4 - 1/2 inch) have a well ventilated tub and constant source of clean moisture (apples, carrot, dark leafy greens) in addition to your dry mix.
I use Reptilefood.com and have had great success ....1000 for $10 plus shipping. With shipping I think I figured my per cricket cost at between 1.5 and 2 cents ea.
This suppliers will send a 10% to 20% overcount as well so you can afford to lose 100 maybe 200 crickets and still come in at this cost.
They have great Zophoba worms as well.
