I have a home-made enclosure for my cham, made out of pine wood; all sealed with multiple layers of varnish and with some caulking along the edges, the walls, the floor, etc. However, there is one corner on the bottom where the caulking has peeled off a bit during cleaning. Today, I saw a weird little pile of unknown matter in that very corner. I first thought it was molds or some dried skin. But it was actually a pile of tiny little wood chips, as if some creature tried to dig its way out of the cage... And all there was in that cage yesterday was the chameleon, a butterworm, and some crickets. Are crickets known to eat wood (or dig through wood)? Anyone witnessed something similar in their cage set up? I am quite puzzled...
