I have to say it all depends on the particular bait shop really... I actually breed cricks and sell them to bait shops so if you get them from some of the bait shops I sell to, your in good shape

yes, that is true to those kind of shops, I was refering to big breeding companies like grubco and ghanns.

I would much rather give my hard earned money to local bait shops than to the big box pet stores. Plus I LOVE fishing and I am in the bait shops all the time anyhow.

most likley all come from one big place, lol...so it wouldnt really matter unless they just have really bad keepeing conditions on the place you go..


(its like those exo-terra incubators..there are others, but they are all identical, just different colors and labels..they all are made in the same place in shenzen china) lol

as\ a\ commited\ fisherman\ i\ can\ say\ that\ most\ bait\ shops\ i\ know\ get\ crickets\ from\ cricket\ farm.\ one\ guy\ i\ know\ raises\ his\ own\ in\ backroom\ bins.\ ask\ your\ local\ baitshop\ owner.\ they\ usually\ wont\mind\ letting\ you\ know.\ also\ they\ perfer\ use\ king\ crickets(black\ ones)\ since\ they\ are\ bigger\ when\ they\ do\ thier\ own\ cricket\ breeding.
