Dangling his leg and feet.

Your Chameleon - Blue bar panther, ive had him for apx 4 months he is apx a year old
Handling - I handle him everyday
Feeding - I feed him daily, he eats meal worms, super worms, im introducing cockroaches next week. He flat out will not eat crickets, kind of odd to me..
Supplements - I use Rep-Cal multi vitamins, and calcium, and d3
Watering - I use two drippers, i see him drink but i dont feel he drinks as much as he needs to be but i do see him drink at-least three times a week
Fecal Description - His fecal matter is normal, brownish, with a white calcium deposit in it.

His cage is a 48x48x24 reptibreeze with tons of leaves, branches, etc. Ive recently noticed since i put him in his bigger cage that he sometimes "dangles" a leg or two when he is on a perch, its not always, but i would say 30 percent of the time he dangles a leg. I also noticed he had a bit of either "drool" or possibly mucus coming from the side of his mouth the other day. Not much at all a very small amount, but not sure if it could be related to this or not.

my chams have been known to be only holding on to a branch by sometimes only 1 foot lol. as long as he is not dragging it behind him and its moving normal I wouldn't worry.

When filling out the help form its usually recommended to fill the whole thing out. that way if there is anything in your husbandry that could be causing the problem you have someone will be able to pick it out.

do you have a picture you can post?
also I noticed you said you handle him daily. IMO its best to handle your chameleon as little as possible. They tend to get pretty stressed when being handled. I usually go by my chameleon's. if I put my hand out and they walk on your good to go. if not I don't push it. JMHO

edit: also I would avoid Meal worms as they are hard to digest. and superworms are pretty frowned upon here. I would try silks if he isn't eating cricket. although they are expensive. roaches are a good staple thought if you can get them.

Do you have a UVB light? I would recommend a vet visit from a qualified chameleon vet. Chams will dangle their leg if It hurts them. He could have injured it, it could be MBD or gout. I have a chameleon with bone spurs in his leg and he will dangle it when it's bothering him. Bloodwork and an exray will be needed to find out what's wrong. He may also have an RI if he has extra saliva in his mouth. A culture and sensitivity test will need to be done to determine the type (types) of infection and which meds will work on the type that he has.

Do you have a good chameleon vet? If not check the post in this thread below. Our members here have posted their vets on this thread.

Im new here. But Ive had similar problem

Are all of your plant tree branches small in size or size same? Mine were little small and I needed to get some different sizes. He would lay his belly and have his feet out not grasping when I changed this its been better. I consider most people very experienced here .. Im new here so not considering myself an expert but thought I might chime in.
