Not sure what to do, I was treating my cham for his eye issues and now he won't stop throwing up. Everytime i move him, he opens his mouth to hiss. If try to give him water he hisses. The vet had me give him 1ml of pedialyte each day for the last few days. Yesterday he threw up the last 4 days worth of food and it was undigested. His good eye is sinking in more and more and he keeps throwing up the water.

I'm not sure what else you can do for the poor guy. You've been fighting so hard for him, I feel terrible for the both of you.I was giving him a general antibiotic... baytril along with a painreliever/anti-inflammatory (medicam), we are able to pick up fortaz today to replace the baytril, but I don't even know what to do... at this point. How do I keep his vitals up if he can't digest?

I think the medication killed the good bacteria in his gut& intestines! If you can mix a little dairy yogurt in with the pedialyte & give that to him to get the acidophiles bacteria back in him it might help him to digest his food! Don't make it thick, pedialyte& plain yogurt & give him some of that!

How bad is his eye right now? improved? closed? discharge? Why the VET changed baytril for fortaz? ... and for how many days has been under treatment? and how many drops a day?
