Dehydrated, lethargic chams

So sorry for your loss Robin - As you know, my Sambava went downhill quick for no apparent reason as well, and when you feel like you know what you're doing it's frustrating. The good news is you have that Sambava that's doing well and I think you're getting another panther soon, right? Keep your chin up - these animals are pretty fragile, especially when they're young.

Thank you and yes my Ambilobe from Suzi will be here on Wednesday :)
Yes it is just strange that they never grew. I keep a log of what they eat and how much they weigh weekly. They just never grew and then two months later it went from having one shut eye to not eating, then drinking, then lethargic in no time. I am anxiously awaiting the necropsy report this week.

I just want to update this. The necropsy report came back a couple weeks ago. The result was that they died of liver failure caused by liver infection... But they could not say were the port of entry for the infection came from. I did ask about lighting, heat, food and I was told no those would not have been the cause. So to me it was still a bit vague as to why or how long this infection could have been going on. But the vet did say it was suspect since they did not grow but a few grams from the time they arrived even though they had a healthy appetite until a week before they died.

Also all my other reptile are doing great and gaining as they should.
Thank you to everyone for you help and concern.
