We have 2 years old veiled cham. Hi moved a week ago and I havent seen him drinking yet. I have dripper and i'm misting 2-3 times a day. This is his pee today. When he mowed all this was yellow and in old home it was yellow too. Is it going better? I see some white in his pee ;)

I'd have to see a side by side comparison of his old urate vs. his new to make an educated guess. If you've upped his misting schedule and added a dripper you're on the right track to increase his hydration. You may never "see" him drink, but if his urates are getting whiter, then he is hydrating. You also might try a cup of hornworms to keep him moving down the hydration road. I order a cup a month and my 2 1/2 yr old veiled seems to love them and hand feeds readily on them. My misting schedule is 3 x per day at 6 min. This gives him time to "notice the water, " drink and wash out his eyes if needed.

Thank you! Pee seems allthough that it doesnt get enough water? In old home he didt'n have uvb in past month... i'm sure it affects in many things...

Yeah... no uvb.... but "only" for a month. That what seller told me. Now conditions are 110% right. I have really made work to study all i have to know and make his life perfect...

If he hasn't had UVB for a month I would use a phosphorous-free calcium/D3 powder a couple of extra times or get him outside to boost his D3 levels somhe doesn't end up with MBD. Please post a photo of him.

I live in Finland. I can't take him outside this time of a year ;)

Then could you give him a supplement with D3 one or two extra times this month and make sure he has enough calcium??
How often are you going to dust the insects? With what specific supplements? What will you feed/gutload the insects with specifically?
What is the basking temperature? Can you run a dripper long enough to encourage drinking every day?

Seller has gave him extra vitamins. Lamp vent broken and seller did'nt have time or something to get new uvb. I knew these things and still bought him.

He also ate less, only 6-9 crickets and here he is eating 16 pcs. This can affect hydrating things too?

I dust with calsium EVERY time i feed him and with repashy twice a week. Food insects have lots of different vegetables.

Highest basking temperature is 90 ·F.

Dripper is on 12 hours a day. Plus misting 2 times per day. Sometimes i get him drinking straight from the misting bottle. And i have real planst in terrarium, so they keep on good humidity.

I'm also feeding him in morning, so food will melt better. In old home he had food in the evenings.

Here he is very active and i don't see anything wrong in his behavior. Allthough he is my first chameleon... But like i said, i've have been reading a lot!!

I put pictures of those supplements i am using...

Aside from his casque being a little crooked he looks pretty good. Hopefully he will do well for you.

How long does the dripper drip for and how fast? Have you tried dripping the water right on his nose for a long period of time?
I would try to mist him more and maybe try a shower.

Is it crooked?!?! Dripper is on 12 hours a day. It drips once in 3-5 minutes... I put it faster, maybe cham learns soon to drink from it. And yes i have mist also in his mouth...

He is very stressed, because of the conditions in old home. There wasn't much climping branches or plants... and i don't want to take him in shower, if i don't have to ;) i think his having a heart attack if i do so ;) how long does it take to hydrade again, if this dehydrating is from old home?

I'm doing my best and really want he being well here. This is why i log in here with my bad english :) :) :)

You said..."And yes i have mist also in his mouth"... Don't spray water into his mouth...you don't want to get water into his lungs.
If you mist him enough and get him to drink from the dripper you don't have to shower him. I make my drippers drip at the rate of one or two drips per second.

Okei! I havent mist hard in his mouth... like drops and got him drink. But i have not read before, that drinking from spraying bottle can do that!! Very important information!! Thanks!

Look at this!!! Pee seems white!!! I'm so relieved :)
