After exactly 17 weeks my deremensis eggs are hatching. Three babies have completely emerged, and 10 more of the eggs have pipped. Here are some of the pictures I have got so far.

Yeah, fantastic!

Luis & Nicole also just hatched some so maybe you can both be a resource to each other for bloodlines.

Could pic 0051 look any more like it was computer generated. How unreal are these guys? Never ceases to amaze me, how glossy and colorful they are.

Thanks all. Two more are out today. 26 eggs are pipped. I'll keep you al posted on how the do.

Yep, these babies are amazing. If the adults kept their baby colors, this species would be a lot more popular.

So I came home to find 3 more babies out of their eggs. While I was removing the 3 babies, around 15 more babies emerged within about a 5-10 min period. The light must have triggered them to come out. They had been in a dark cabinet. Here are some pics of the experience. So far I have 27 babies, with 5 more pipped, and 6 eggs that appear to be bad from my first clutch. They all look extremely healthy.

They do look like a rainbow trout. Ha. You better save a lot of pennies. I'm sure some baby johnstoni will be here shortly

My second clutch of deremensis started hatching today. I need the weekend to hurry up and get here so I can build more cages.
