Dilly beans vet visit. I'm a horrible cham parent.

If u can raise ur room temperature then will indirectly to bring the temperature up in general so u dont have to change ur setting .if not then u can change the wattage on the bulb, but monitor her closely, did the vet prescribed the Baytril ; Forta or something else?

Enrofloxacin for the cough.

@alphakenc Will this bulb type help? It's a plant bulb, but it's all I have on hand aside from standard house bulbs.

This will do ,check the wattage first

Raise the room temperature if u can ....since the cham will roaming around and not sit still under the basking spot all the time,if u have a temperature control for the chameleon room just raise it up for 2-4 degree,u can use a portable heater if u have one just monitor the temperature closely.

Its only 27watts so for heat not very usefull...
Normal housebulbs are ok for heat... If you have a 60watt i think that should be good enough

I added a standard cfl 60 watt house bulb, and I'll set up the space heater from my bug farm out here to keep the ambient room temp around 82. Anything for the bean.

Keep the mist directly away from the bean, let the cage dry in between from the misting sessions ,and follow the correct dosage prescribed from the vet,and watch some favorite TV to take ur worry mind away n leave her in peace to get better sooner.

Enroflaxcin is the generic for Baytril
In that case it will need to watch the hydration, cause it is a a strong antibiotic and might prove to be too harsh for her chameleon's body.

The nurse that mixed up the meds showed me proper dosages, but never mentioned any side effects. I should have asked! What else should I look for aside from hydration? She's taking the Enrofloxacin, Meloxicam, and liquid calcium.

It usually imprinted on the description note for the general side effects.

She's getting daily showers, I'll keep her diet heavy in horn worms while she's taking the antibiotics as well. I am not messing with her, she gets her shower and now meds but that's the only handling I'm doing.

Oh, and she's 108 grams. Probably closer to 9 months old and there doesn't look to be any eggs developing so we think she will have a longer break between clutches than I thought.

Look into Reptaid when she is better, its an organic immune support for the reptile,I use them with all my older chams to give them the extra boost,So far it kept all of my older chams well ,its a great product in my experience.
