Do chameleons have to have temp drop at night?

My chameleons are in my house and i have never had problems that were not preexisting to me getting them the daytime temp is 85-90f basking and 70-75 ambient temp but at night my temps are about 68f. My big question is that i see that night time temp should be low 60s and im wondering if this will cause a problem later since my night time temp is only 68fand not low 60s? It is vary hard to lower the temp tomuch being 62 is vary cold for my family in the house. I am a heating and air tech if it is going to cause a problem i may be able to figure something out thanks

There is a lot of controversy over this! Based on my own personal experience and the opinions I've seen of some very well respected members here, I would say you have nothing to worry about. As long as night time temps are at least in the very low 70's it should be fine. Your situation is very similar to mine and I've had very healthy Jacksons for quite a few years, which many will say require even cooler temps at night. In the Winter my night time temps do drop into the low 60's but for about half the year they barely get below 70.

Thank you
