Do I have a slow growing gonzo baby or what?!

I would think he is older than that. He wouldn't have been sold unless he was 2 months old. He is definetly younger than the rest but he would be older than 4 months. I would think like 6 at least but I am not sure.

I would expect him to have much more color and size on him. Do you remember what show you got him at? I am thinking it was Pomona but I really can't remember. If it was Las Vegas then 6-7 months sounds about right

How much does he weigh?

I got him at the pamona reptile show. It was in August right? I weighed him the other day and he was exactly 25 grams

I have another clutch due soon. So if this guy does not turn out like you expected I will make sure you get one that will. (no charge)

There is a chance "I guess" that its a female. Looks to me like a buldge there but maybe its not. Maybe its confused. :D If it is a girl I will hook you up with a male but then you will have to find another male to breed her to.

No matter what I will do what I can to make sure you get a smoking Dr. G male.
Thanks Ryan :) I'm sure he will take off one of these days. His blue hues on his body keep coming in within each shed so we'll see. But in person you can see his bulge so I'm 100% certain he's a guy.

One other thing...

if you are going to Petapalooza this weekend. I will be there with Dr. Gonzo at the las Vegas reptile show booth.
Where's Petapalooza? The Vegas show is in may right?

Same thing happened with my guy, he was a little runt up until he was about 6 months and was mostly tan with some red on him. But within the last month and a half his colors are really starting to come in nicely. Hes still on the small side but he growing alot more now.
I think this is what's going to happen with my guy as well. Do you have a gonzo baby as well?

Holly crap! only 25 grams and you are right he would be 9 months old. I hope he takes off but like I said if for some reason he doesn't I'll hook you up.

Here is the info on petapalooza. Its mostly a dog and cat thing. I am going ot help tyler promote the May Las Vegas show.

I also had him tested for parasites just incase and results came back negative both times so he's just a really really slow grower. But like I said I love his attitude, very calm and docile.

I'll try and make it to the petapalooza! I would really like to see dr gonzo in person :)

I hate to throw this into the mix, but could he be one of these hemaphrodite chams? Does he do anything if you show him a female?

Well he just looks as sweet as can be!! Cute little guy :D

I see you live in Vegas, maybe he can get a little morning sun here and there?

Gut feeling is that little guy is going to color up nicely, he's just taking his time lol

I know the feeling. :) He'll color up. Hopefully he will get to be full size (unlike my lame-o.)

My Dr. Gonzo boy was a small one too. I just posted some photos of him in the photography section. He put on a big growth spurt and is a monster now.

This gives me hope :) I just can't wait for that growth spurt to come. Weather has been nice lately so I'm gonna have him outside a lot. Hopefully this will bring out those colors he's hiding from me :)

here are some pics of zulu

he was about 5.5 - 6 months old, kinda dull. when he was mad hes bars would turn a dark red...that was about the only color on him

not the best pic, but you get the idea.

here is is about a week ago...around 7 months...today he looked even more vibrant then in this pic only taken a couple of days ago.

hopefully this make you feel a little better about your little dude. hes gonna get there' some just take alot long...like zulu : D

Last week I weighed him he was 33 grams. He probably gained a little
Bit since he had a lot of silkies and hornworms this week. He hasn't gotten any bigger and he still looks the same though.

Well...Thats progress.... Did you conclude that he was a male?

and excellent that ryan has said he would take care of you if it didnt turn out to be what you expected....

Yes he is indeed a male. And yes that's why I always stick usually with either Chad or Ryan when I buy, they're great dealers!
