Do senegals lay eggs without mating?

There seems to be mixed information on this. I was under the impression that only veiled chameleons lay eggs without breeding. I have come across a few posts that say all female chameleons do this. My female is a senegal.

I may be wrong, but I am under the impression that all female chams lay infertile eggs except for a few species that give live birth like jacksons

Once the animal hits sexual maturity it can happen. The best thing to do is to not overfeed the animal or keep the cage super hot, and make sure there is a proper laying bin in the cage at all times in case she needs to lay.

In my experience Senegal chameleons don't lay eggs without being mated.....but hat being said...i would still make a place in the cage just in case.

I've been wondering that as well.. Seeing as my Senegal will probably hit maturity soon! Thanks for the info.. I'll still keep it available for her though!

if she does start laying eggs and you don't want her to, keeping the temp down and feeding her less, this will stop her from laying eggs as often.
