I sent a lengthy message to the owner who says "I do not appreciate my leopard gecko being called fat!" LOL I told her I can take him and treat him but I can not pay her because of the illnesses that may occur with him or any that may be underlying. Apparently she has been feeding him crickets and waxworms, but more waxworms because crickets "are too hard to keep" and she feeds him 8-12 a day. I was like OMG:eek:

Hi fellow Hamphirite. I have numerous leopard geckos, and i'm sorry if she is affended, BUT, it is fat. I'm glad to see that you will not pay her. I do the same thing. When i have to rescue a reptile, i will not pay for it and if they insist, i don't take it. If she didn't want to do crickets, why on earth would she get a gecko? Never mind, i already know. Good luck.

Then I guess I have an overweight leo too.

Looks like it has some MBD in the back end.. eh

Can't tell... The photo is pretty small. She has not gotten back to me so she is probably pissed lol but oh well at least I told her how to take care of it.

From that angle, it kinda looks like she might have eggs (if it's a girl). I can't really tell though because it's a weird angle. Leos tend to look kinda fat anyway. Can you get the owner to send you a better picture? How much are they charging? My leos both look pretty fat and I don't think I even feed them that much, they eat a couple of crickets every day and some mealworms.

I thought leopard geckos are supposed to be somewhat straight from their neck to the base of their tail. At least in my experience they are. She was selling him with all of his stuff for $75, way too much for me. They say it is a he but who knows. It is the only one they have, can leopard geckos also cycle eggs?

Females can cycle eggs without a male, but if that's a male then it's obviously not eggs. It's hard to tell how the gecko really is with how he's laying and how the picture is angled. Tell them to put up a better picture :p
