Does this poop look normal?

My 11 month old male veiled ham pooped this out this morning, does this seem weird?

Do you have any exposed soil or substrate in the enclosure? These are the types of things that can cause issues in (especially smaller) chams. That's what it looks like to me, anyway.

No, all the soil in the plants are covered with rocks. Do you think it could be a parasite?

I don't, it looks more like either a part of the pothos (old dead piece) or something from the soil.

What feeders are you using and what are your temps? Sometimes bits of 'tougher' feeders don't get digested if temps are not warm enough.

Looks like the shell of a super worm or meal worm to me. My Cham had a similar poop and I examined it and it was the outer shell of a super worm. Could be a number of things though as stated above, soil, substrait ect.

If it is a the exo shell of a worm, I'd up your basking temp, that's what I did and I've had no problems since.nice solid turds now lol

I fed him a super yesterday so that might have been it, at the end of the month it's time to replace the bulb so it might be lower than usual

I am not home at the moment but when I get home I will check the temp, this month is when I would usually change his bulb so the one he is using now might just be not as warm as it usually is

I think you may be confusing heat bulbs and UV tubes. Heat bulbs don't lose heat when they need replacing, the just stop working or the filaments go. UV tubes are the ones that need replacing on a reguar basis depending on the brand used.

I did not know that, thanks for the info!! I usually change my bulbs every 6 months so it would be time for me to change all of them anyway
