I feel like this is a notable milestone for me and Claudia. I've been trying since the day I got her to drink from either a dropper or a syringe. She's such a shy drinker that I can probably count on one hand how many times I've actually witnessed her drinking (something that freaked me out to no end in the beginning).
Time and time again I've tried to get her to drink from the dropper/syringe and sometimes she'd start to drink only to realize that I was watching her and she'd stop immediately. Well, today, I tried a different syringe. An extra larger one that the vet gave me. Filled it up with water, slowly dropped a few drips onto her casque and let it run down and low and behold, she stood up on her back two feet and started drinking right from the syringe. She even let me stop and fill it back up three different times and it didn't break her concentration on drinking. But of course, as with everything, as soon as I started recording video of it -- she stopped.
We may not have it down to an exact science yet, and maybe today was just a fluke, but man do I feel proud that we've gotten to this point lol.
