monty is on my hand and he hissed @ me so i squirted some water to him and he drooled.

then tried later to hiss again and since he still had water he made a gurgle instead.

now he is making noises every so often like bubbling through his face.

is he just dehydrated

Did you squirt Monty in the mouth? maybe he got water down the wring tube and it ended up in the lungs

How is he doing today? Does he happen to have a build up of saliva in his mouth that is making these bubbles?

A little more detail will help us.

Often, if a thirsty cham is actively drinking they can drool quite a bit. The saliva tends to be clear with no bubbling. When they stop drinking they stop drooling. End of story. I had a wc melleri who drooled really heavily every time he drank...and he drank a lot. I always suspected he had some kidney damage from poor treatment before he arrived and was never totally OK afterwards.

HOWEVER, if the cham is sitting with a mouth full of saliva or mucus, bubbling, breathing hard, or sitting with its head tipped straight up, not eating or drinking, it has a respiratory infection and needs a vet.

Carlton gave excellent advice! My panther drools every time he drinks and pretty much always has. But once he's done the drool is done too.

Well, there's this for you.

When he drinks off the top of the screen (he either does that with the dripping water or bites the leaves that are wet), he doesn't drool because he isn't getting very much water at one time.

I dripped a little into the front of his mouth when he hissed and then he seemed surprised and took some drops. Then proceeded to freaking drool it all out onto my jacket!

So I gave him a bit more, and he swallowed it down. He raised his head, as to let it go down his throat, then I moved a little and he hissed and made a GURGLE noise.

I guess I disrupted his swallowing because maybe a wee bit got into his airway. After that, about a minute would pass and he would make little squeaks while breathing. Then it stopped.

Sorry I didn't include much detail. I was on my phone and was worried so I typed fast.

Maybe it was just drooling because he got too much water and his mouth got excited :)

sounds like its not a good idea to put water in his mouth like that when he is hissing.

sorry I was vague before but I stated above a correction; i put little drop in the very front of his mouth, then he kind of licked his lips and swallowed it. So I gave him some more and he kept drinking it and then drooled.
