I just got my Cham tesla, I got crickets a day before I got him. After one day U wanted to see if he would eat a Dubai so I bougt a pack of 50 small roaches from a local breeder. When I got them I mixed them in with the crickets and they seem to be dying, about 1/4 are dead now and it's only been 3 days? Why are they dying?
My gutload, dry, finch bird seed and ground alfalfa, wet, crushed blueberry and raspberry rinsed.
On a side note my crickets have been dying also I got them from a local pet store. I'm starting to think it may have been some left over pesticides from the fruit but I didn't think that there would be Aniyah to cause this much damage what could be wrong?

Also I have had no luck with tesla eating the roaches any suggestions?

Why are you mixing crickets with roaches lol? A lot of reasons they could be dying in that setting.
I didn't have another container and I didn't see another problem with it but apparently it was, although the crickets still were dying before I put the Dubais in there any idea why?

bird seed might have vitamins mixed in. I have had good luck with guinnee pig food or chicken food, IF its not fortified with vitamins and minerals. The alfalfa is great and cheap.

Also the crickets will eat the dubia at some point.

And mine would not eat dubia till it was a sub adult. You might get away with mixing feeders together in a cup feeder. I ended up having to tong feed the dubia so they would wiggle.

Crickets die pretty easily, you need good ventilation, hiding, food, hydration, and temperature for them. You could have had a bunch of crickets die which in turn gave off gases and killed roaches. And/or the crickets killed some of the roaches. Crickets are nasty and should be left to wallow in their own filth alone.

Thanks for the advice, also I took special care to pick unfortified bird seed:)
