Dubia gutloading?? (Plus any opinions/breeding advice appreciated)

Hahahaha!!!

So you prefer it when ur lil bro gets kicked in the face eh? Charming!! LOL :D

Love ur Ashleigh vid! She could actually be an extra in Jurassic park!!! Loves them mice!!! :p

You'd have to get some convos going to get to 5000 posts. You could check out my thread on the possibility of making Simba's humidity too high and post an answer to get another one towards your 5000??? ;)

Ah, I meant when my bro kicks his opponents in the face.....lol, thanks about Ashleigh....my monitors have often reminded me of the Velociraptors....and mice are definitely her favourite things in the world :D
This is all old news though....you looked at my threads, not todays posts....I was thinking more of this sort of silliness - https://www.chameleonforums.com/can-someone-please-help-me-102445/

Ordered some large roaches to add in with the few meds i have left to try n get a little colony going. Came today.

They're huge!

Compared to what I'm used to getting anyway! Lol

Got bug grub, water gel and fruit/veg in for them (orange, rocket and apple)

Will give Simba a couple tomorrow (doubt he'll eat any more than 2 or 3 the size they are) then leave them to it to get breeding lol

Will have to get some other feeders in until I can use the roaches from the colony regularly. Will get locusts and morios tomorrow, then he has silkworms, butterworms and fruit grubs to be going on with :)

Hope the roaches do breed ;)

Mine dont seem to be breeding, and yes David I do have male and female. I've tried oranges but nothing happening. Might be like the silkies, nothing for weeks then they all come together.LOL

Well he certainly Approves of the big huge roaches! Lol

Straight over to feeder cup to nab one as soon as they went in. Only put 3 in as they're about the size of the fruit grubs n he only eats 2 of those so didn't want to overwhelm him. He keeps going back to the cup to check on the other 2 lol he must be saving them for later lol

Getting him some locusts today so will leave the roaches to hopefully start getting down to breeding. Fingers crossed!!

I have a mixture of sizes. I have 5 females and 2 males that are adult. They are in incubator in garage around 80 degrees. Can't seem to get it any higher. Any suggestions would be good?

Sorry if this has been asked already, but do Dubia nibble on sleeping chams like crickets sometimes do?

they'll breed at that temp. probably just need patience :)
Mine are in a bin with a low temp heat mat only on one side. Its under 80F in there in winter (higher in summer) and I still get production.

The one that Simba left yesterday shed its skin in the feeder cup and turns out its a female, so back in the roach bin she went! ;)

I think he filled himself up on those 2 big roaches he did eat yesterday, as he left the 3rd one like I say, and wasn't that interested in the silks this morning. He only ate 2, and a fruit grub, but they're his fave I think and he'd eat one of those even if he was full to the brim LOL!!
Speaking of fruit grubs, why MUST they burst all over the place when they are eaten?!? LOL So funny this morning when I fed it to Simba. He came running along his branch when he saw what I had, nabbed it (burst it Ewwwww!) and had its insides ALL OVER HIS FACE!!! It was like a kid that's just eaten chocolate! Really wished I had the camera to hand. He managed to get it all off though during his little mad 5 mins which followed, where he briskly walked/near enough ran round his top branches and leaves. Gave him a little energy boost I think!!! LOL So funny to watch! :D

Anyway, blabbing now....back to the roaches!!

I'm hoping they're warm enough to breed. I have them on top of his mistking water reservoir which has the heater in it. That tub (and in turn the roach tub) seems to get nice n warm so hopefully its enough to persuade them to make me more roaches!! LOL

I've just been to get some locusts for Simba and while I was sorting those out and feeding the roaches, my hubby was like, bloody hell! They're better fed than we are!!! LOL

Suppose I can see what he means...looks rather nice that little lot:
