Early Review of my new Dragon Strand Keeper Cages

I received my enclosures yesterday and I want to give as unbiased a review as I can to date. I have had 4 different types of enclosures with these chams so I have some strong opinions. I will be comparing them to Reptibreeze, DIY and Reptarium and how they went together and the features. Longevity will come later.

Shipping: A bit higher when compared to DIY or buying off Amazon w/ Prime, arrived safe and on time with UPS shipping however. Well packaged as well.

Ease of Assembly: Directions were easy to follow and each enclosure went together in less than 30 minutes. I would have liked to have had a few extra screws just in case one or two go missing. (luckily none did).

Features:

Love the little plastic hangers that screw into the top, I was able to hang my pothos from them.
Door stoppers are a bit small, but functional.
Door handle unobtrusive, but could be a bit more substantial.
Screen looks very secure. The panels felt sturdy.
Door was a bit off square but the flashing on the top and bottom will prevent feeder escapes and it opens quietly, My DIY rocked the whole cage as it was off square but that was probably my table set up.
Top front panel makes the enclosure a bit more stable and it doesn't wobble as much as others when I open the door.
The white base panel fit well and is a bit thicker than the DIY or Reptibreeze one. Seems more porous, this concerns me with keeping it clean and stains. Why does no one make a dark colored one?

Saving the best for last: The drainage pan. This is the reason I bought this enclosure. I love that I can just sit the enclosures on this and then clean out the excess water. I am so over drilling and dumping buckets. I would have liked it to have been a bit deeper, but we shall see how it goes. There is enough of a gap so that I can get the flat hose from the shop vac in to suck out water.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase and Bill answered a number of my questions promptly. He also offered to help me retrofit the drainage pan to my other enclosures but since I had so many holes in them I decided to go all new.

I will keep watch for any rust issues and update the review as needed , but I would not hesitate to purchase from Dragon Strand again.

Just wondering if they use spline to hold the screen in place or are they like the DIY with the plastic rod thing?

I've decided I don't like the solid bottom thing. I purchased a bunch of DIY recently and am screening the bottoms myself and tossing the solid bottoms into a pile. Not sure why solid bottoms are popular for chams- they aren't strong enough to bear the weight of a plant pot anyway...

It is a splined screen.

Under the white bottom is a drainage pan that has supports so its holding my big plants without bowing..much...actually a little bowing is good, I am going to drill a drain hole or two in the middle of the white panel.
