hi there just to let u know about my wee man ( he is only 12 ounces) He has had a lump for about 6 months in total & i got some sent away to see what it was as the antibiotic injections were doing nothing so it came back as a strain of strepticocci & he needed a daily injection for 2 weeks so i had to do this myself at home to say i was terrified is an understatement lol but since he is so tame he made it so easy for me.Well after 2 weeks of this it did go down but came back again so
ive had a horrendous 2 days Took edd to vet for his lump on monday & it was decided to take him in today to put him under anesthetic to try to cut out as much as possible So i set off at 10 with him & left him there i had to fone at 1 & the vet said he was very poorly & had him on oxygen they had managed to cut away as much as possible but there is a small lump on a muscle wall which is probably cancer but since its growing slowly it might outlive him so will perhaps not affect him So i had to go & get him at 2.30pm & when i did the nurse said they lost him twice i was gobsmacked as the vet hadnt told me i guess he didnt want to worry me ,he had turned grey(they go black when they die) & couldnt hold onto branch etc but wen i arrived he was green & sitting in his travel box looking forlorn so he has 2 cuts one above lump & 1 below they had to leave them open as there was infection so i have to wash them eash day by squirting saline over them When i got him home he seemed glad to be in his house & i tried him with a wax worm(he hadnt eaten in 4 days) & he gobbled it up so was very happy i left him till 6ish & then he was basking with his cuts towards the heat so that should help & he ate a locust so his lights go out at 7pm so teated in at 9ish & he was sound asleep So just hoping he is still the same in morning Im a wreck had nightmares last night & everything but it looks like we have him for a while longer thank god :)

Wow i got stressed out just reading through that! Sounds very eventful, i hope he comes out stronger. You really care about him and he will pull through for you. Good luck keep us posted;)

lol stressed aint the word its been a long journey but he is so strong for such a small guy & i have an excellent vet who keep chameleons himself so knows plenty about them
