Egg in poop?

Here's the story. I recently took in a WC Female Ambilobe...Great weight, hydrated and decent previous poops. I have had her for a little over a week. Today she gave me a nice fecal sample that had traces of a yolkey substance, upon further inspection I found a yellow "egg like" portion of that poop.

Any thoughts?

Wowi really don't know! If its an egg it looks infertile or dead and so would just be full of yolk like stuff. You could always cut it open and investigate?

Could be a partially reabsorbed egg. Sometimes chameleons try to absorb eggs cause environment seems not to be appropiate for a pregnancy, e.g. during transport of a wild caught to its new home country (which is really stressful). Those residues leave the body through cloaca - and if there is feces inside yet, it might get out with a poop. I would recommend to watch your girl carefully the next days if not going for a vet to take x-rays to be sure there's nothing more inside.

I absolutely agree those were my conclusions as well, hopefully with some care I can get those eggs produced and get her organism back on track.

I found 4 more "eggs" so I am certain that during her transfer, she was producing eggs and didnt get a chance to get comfy and lay...Hopefully now that she is getting her organism back on track I can see some mystery babies hatch...Fingers crossed.
