Egg size getting smaller :(

Is the incubation temperature for your eggs always in between74.3-75.2 from the beginning to the end??
Also I have found if the eggs are too warm and hatch early, neonates can fail to thrive, some like let the eggs go thru a cool down period and slowly raise the temperature back up just for their full development.

Yes. Always between 74.3-75.2 and also I have another clutch from same female, she laid 26 eggs 2 months ago. Temp is same. I'll wait and see what happens.

I never had that happen on me before.usually,I start my eggs temp in around the same room temperature when they laid like around 70F,then I wait about a month, and I put them in my incubator raise the temperature to 73f,when the eggs gets a little bit bigger on the egg size , I will bring them down to my basement with a cooler temp around 65F,after another month,I will bring them back up and slowly raise the temperature from 65F back to 73F,and so far I have no problem on the eggs.
I dont know if that is the temperature thing on your batch or the female u had, Cause usually the females on mine they laid between 30 to 40 eggs, and I start all my females breeding after 1 year of their age,but this is just my side of the story, every breeder can have their own way of the breeding program.

Thank you again. I don't know what to do. Only time will fix it :(

Be strong my friend, sometimes things wont always go what we plan to happen,we can't fix the problem in the past, but look at the bright side, you still got the 26 eggs 2 month in and waiting to be hatch:)moving forward and keep those 26eggs in your prayer, everything else....are all in the mighty God's hand, and I will keep my finger cross for you on this:)

Sorry for your loss.

Did you check the moisture of the vermiculite?

Yes. Moisture is good enough I think. My friend who has breed 2 times panther chameleons came to me today. He said moisture is good and he decided to cut the egg at the same time when it get smaller. So we opened a small egg today. This is the result: what do you think ?

I'm just curious since I have zero experience whatsoever but why do you cut the eggs open if they're not ready to hatch? Can they still live like that and keep growing? Or is that one going to die now? It looks so teeny tiny and maybe needed to cook a little longer? Like I said though, I have no clue

Did you read all the posts ? I wait for seven of them when they started to getting smaller. But then they all molted after weeks. So I decided to open directly a new egg when it gets smaller. Today we opened and saw the first baby panther which is alive and moving. I don't want to be rude just I don't know a lot of English word, so I couldn't find kind words to make sentences, sorry for that :)

I wasn't trying to be rude either that's why I said I have no experience with eggs. I didn't realize this was the only live one opened. Do you think this one will be able to survive?

I have been breeding bearded dragons and crested geckos for 3 years. But chameleons are different. So I have no experience with chameleon eggs that's why I post this thread

O gotcha. I've never bred anything so you've got tons more experience than I do. But that's pretty much why I was asking. Just cuz I have no clue and was just curious. Thank you for your replies :D

My experience with other reptiles don't make sense so I'm waiting for replies who has bred panthers :) But for me this is a very bad situation. So thank you for replies

I'm sorry you're having a hard time, I wish I could've been of some help or guidance instead of asking silly questions. Hopefully others will have a better idea for you.

No no no. Don't think like that. If I were you, I will absolutely ask same questions. @kinyonga and @alphakenc were very kind and helpfull. I hope they will see and make comment.

I will suggest keep the baby(if still alive) on shallow luke warm water, just little bit water, cause that egg sac are still attached with the cham, but eventually it will shrink and dry up then fall out,u might wana feed the cham lots fruit fly or new born pinhead crickets when it shows interest to eat,pay extra attention on the new born cham, cause it was a premature new born baby, btw how is the baby now??

Also be careful the depth of the shallow water, just a tiny little bit so will keep the egg sac going to abosorb by the baby without drowning the baby or dry up the egg sac too quick:)

Baby is good. At least not dead. It is laying. If I touch it it will move and open its mouth but not eyes. It never opened . So I put it in a humid vermiculite. You suggest that I should put it in a warm water. But Water will be cold after 5 minute later is it important ?
