Eggs outside of bin

So today I opened my cricket bin to get Pop-Tart some food. I picked up a toilet paper roll that was in there to shake some crickets into my cup. On the bottom I noticed a huge pile of white things. For a brief moment I panicked thinking flies had gotten in, and they were maggots. I poked at them and waited to see if they'd move. Nope, they are more cricket eggs.

I moved the roll to my baby container so they wouldn't get eaten by any adults. Has anyone had this happen before? Is it common for crickets to lay their eggs in random places?

This is what I found.

Is the roll near the bin? Is it moist? They might have just liked the area... or been a bit special XD
