Hi everyone, I have panther eggs that should be hatching. It has been 11 months. I have had approx. 5 eggs that started sweating then stop , do nothing except strink and turn yellow. I have looked inside the eggs that have done this after I waited a week to find hardened yellow with embryos. Why do they sweat then stop. I thought sweating meant they were ready for the next step of star pattern on egg to slit from the baby. How long after they start to sweat are they suppose to develop the star pattern then pip to hatch? I can't find anything on time frame. I have taken great care of this eggs and am feeling discouraged. Thanks in advance for any advice. I place my eggs in Tupperware containers with lids, a small holes on top, eggs are placed in hatchrite. The small containers are then placed in a large Tupperware container with a inch of water in the bottom. The egg containers are not in the water directly they sit above the water. A lid covers the larger Tupperware container loosely, not snapped on. The container is placed in a dark room that maintains current house temps (70's). My eggs containers were weighed from the time of placement and monitored to maintain that weight for the past 11 months.
