Emergency! Cham dieing, what do I do?!

My cham used the background to climb on, It was really more for me, I just didnt like the look of a screen in the back, it felt so exposed. The plexi glass is also for me, although I clearly need help with humidity, Id like to see clearly through to the cham but I dont want him stressed by himself, I wonder if there is a coating or material that doesnt reflect back. I work in an optical department and we deal with a coating like that but I dont think its a large scale thing I can spray on a panel haha. I was actually looking at the acrylic sheet that comes in the front of large picture frames, very cheap, but probably even more reflective.

Another thing to consider about the more rigid options is scratches...if you clean plexy or the acrylic sheet with some chemicals or even a nylon scrubby it can eventually leave an etched surface. Shower curtains can take a beating and they are easy to replace. A very expensive and heavy idea would be non-glare framing glass ($$$!!!). Again, not all chams stress out when seeing reflections, but I have seen it more often with plexi than with the shower curtain idea. Maybe because the rigid panels can reflect more light? You can always try it.

Ah I was thinking plexiglass as the actual door, you mean shower curtain as a removable cover right? The pieces I need are only $10 so if it does get scratched or turns out to be a bad idea I can always replace them or try something new. My boyfriend is not interested in trying again right now, he was raised without pets so he hasn't experienced losing one before, hopefully I can make a super cool cage that will change his mind. Im going to do some lurking around this site and read up more on veiled and panthers, price wise Im feeling veiled, but Im really getting sold on panthers today :)

I really like the idea of a background. I think it would give the enclosure a very dramatic look. It could be as simple as painting the outside of a piece of plexiglass black. Everything in the enclosure would be highlighted against the black. Or, still working on the outside, you could paint a bit of jungle (vines, leaves) and then paint over it with black...It's a great idea and considering your humidity issues, having 2 sides in plexiglass would be very helpful.
