Thank you so much. You also have a beautiful chameleon. I hope he recovers quickly.
He did :D
Son did this to his bearded once and it got tail rot from the part that was closed in the door to the end of the tail, about 2". Took a month of cleaning it and using Neosporin before it fell off. Was sad but he lived.
hes fine, nothing vital. Sorry bout your little guy.

Here’s a pictures of Oscar:

He is extremely obese.... He needs to be put on a diet to avoid organ issues from being so overweight.

Right to the point. Very true though. As well as the eyes. The puffy outer ring is what we are seeing. That could also be due to fat. It could also be from too much supplements, or many others things. If he is getting supplements on all those feedings that could add up.

Yeah just being that obese compromises his body in running properly. Organs stop working the way they are supposed to. With his casque and cheeks showing that much fat his internal organs are being overwhelmed by it as well.

To the point yes... But the truth.

Dude calm down, you act like it’s vital, he’s fine, I’ll put him on a every other day meal consisting of a grape, and one super worm.

Okay how do I fix his eyes?

Yes, it is vital. Reptiles do not handle obesity like humans do, it could quickly cause permanent damage. She was just being honest... a grape and a superworm is not a suitable diet. With a chameleon that obese, no superworms should be fed. Let go of your ego and listen to the people that actually did their research.

It actually is vital... Their internal organs will become compromised due to the fat surrounding them. It is a big deal and is important. It is a death sentence for them to be obese like that. If you want to believe it is not then that is on you. But for your chameleon's sake I would take it seriously..... Superworms are a treat and not an adequate food source. As far as the grape they are insectivores. They are not supposed to have a diet of fruit and salad.

Honestly I was not going to speak up at all because in the past you have been oblivious to the needs of your chameleon when others have tried repeatedly to help you.

My chameleon is amazing; and he gets good care, I’ll fix his diet, and if your not gonna help then no need to be here.

Dude, I thank you for your help. But if you want your lizards to have a bad life cooped in a cage, go ahead.. but know this: a chameleon can be just as sweet or cuddly as a dog, you just have to unlock that in them, it’s vital to keep them happy. :) thanks for telling me about the diet though I will fix it!

Your chameleon is poorly fed, dehydrated and his keeper closed the gate of the enclosure on his tail and didn't even notice he was stuck until the next day when he opened this thread here and titled it "Emergency!!!". So no, regardless of the solid advice given here, your chameleon is NOT doing amazingly well.

Lol, what do you know? A mistake is a mistake; and no need to be jealous, I’m really sorry you don’t know much but here’s this: Oscar is a happy lizard, so again, lmk if you need help, honestly don’t be shy!
